Sounder & Scope
A hog and night hunting gear site that explains thermal and night-vision optics, lights, feeders and after-dark field gear in plain terms.

What the site will cover
About Sounder & Scope
Sounder & Scope covers the specialized gear of hog hunting and night hunting: thermal scopes and monoculars, digital night vision, weapon and scanning lights, feeders and feeder cameras, and the field gear that matters when you are working after dark. The buying questions here are technical and expensive to get wrong. What does thermal resolution actually change in the field? When is digital night vision enough? What is the realistic detection range versus the identification range on a given unit?
The site follows the standards on this hub. Optics are a category where hands-on time reveals things the specifications hide, such as how a unit handles humidity, how fast it starts, and how the battery really lasts at low temperatures. Where I have that time with a product, the site says so. Where a recommendation is research-based, built from manufacturer specifications and long-term owner reports, the page says that instead. Commissions are disclosed on every page, and a pick is never made because of one.
Sounder & Scope is part of the Hunting & Shooting group, with sibling sites including Cam & Canopy for trail cameras, Bench & Berm for range gear and Lens & Lead for eyewear. It is launching soon; this profile is a description of planned coverage, not a live site. Once it launches it will carry an ownership line and link back to this hub.
Sounder & Scope is owned and operated by Iron Mako Media. It follows the same editorial standards as every site in the network and carries the network-wide affiliate disclosure: like every Iron Mako Media site, Sounder & Scope earns commissions on purchases made through its links, and this hub carries none.
